September 3 Pictures, Movie, and Update

Here is Brady "sitting around" in an outfit that our friends Pat and Diana bought him. Most important is that he
is in a 3-6 months top and a 3-6 months bottom. He is finally getting longer legs and a bigger waist so he can wear
shorts that match his tops; well at least he can some of the time.

First Hokie Game
Can you believe Brady got all dressed up and the Hokies lost 27-22 to East Carolina? That's terrible. Brady
wants to see the redshirt taken off of Tyrod Taylor.

Jungle Overalls
One good thing about being bigger is the increased number of outfits with overalls. And everybody likes a baby
in overalls.

Drooling with the Grandparents
Here's superbaby with Mike's mom and stepdad. They came to visit us for the Labor Day weekend. Brady really
got a kick out of Tom; Tom was the first person to get Brady to giggle. Its weird that we are with Brady every day but
his favorite person to talk to is Grandma Elaine and he laughs with Tom but will only chuckle with us. Brady's
already bored with mom and dad.
Not only a Club Member
Brady is in the Dino Club and he wants to be president.
Brady turned 17 weeks old yesterday. He's now at 13 lb 6 oz and is 24 and a half
inches long if you manage to get him to straighten his legs. He's growing so quickly. Daddy continues to
aggrevate him with tummy time.
Brady is learning how to keep his hands open (sometimes) and to grab stuff and to put his fingers
in his mouth. So its important to keep Brady's hands clean or else he'll do the job himself.
September 11 Pictures and Update

Where are Brady's legs? I can't see them when he is wearing his mossy oak camouflage pants with a dinosaur print
on them as well.

Mini Me
This is what happens when Mike has to go to LAX to drop off Grandma Elaine while Cathy gets to wake up and dress Brady... Brady
ends up dressed as a clone of daddy.

Bottle Holder
Brady really had the bottom of his bottle in a death grip during this feeding.
Brady had his 4 month checkup at the doctor on 9/9. He weighed 13 lb 14 oz and was 25 inches
long. His head circumference was 40.5 cm. His height and weight continue to catch up to normal and his head size
is showing steady growth.
The doctor's appointment really didn't give us any new information. Brady has another ultrasound
referral for a 'sacral dimple' on his back/butt. Hopefullly between this and the other 2 referrals we will know if he
has any issues or is fine. We're hoping for fine!
He continues to improve at tummy time and even rolled over from front to back a few days ago.
It was probably a fluke where everything lined up for him but it is still impressive. Sometimes he tries to roll over
and gets so frustrated when he can't do it.
September 14 Pictures and Update

Here is Brady trying to build up his tummy time muscles. He's on the boppy to help him see things around him.
He is still not a very big fan of tummy time. He was doing better a few days ago but I think he is getting frustrated
that he cannot roll over (except for that one time).

Seriously Cat...
Jealous cat likes to be around Brady as much as possible. She tries to maximize her cuteness too.

Happy Baby
Brady with another big grin in his Land's End onesie. Everytime he is out in public strangers seem to comment on
what a happy baby he is.

Four months and one week old and still sporting blue eyes...
Brady had his ultrasound on his hips on Friday. They still need to measure everything but the
doctor doing the exam said that everything looked normal. So that was good news. We have the ultrasound on his
back in 10 days or so.
We started on solids last night with a little bit of rice cereal. Brady didn't get sick or
anything so that is a good sign. He still seems to like milk better though.
September 24 Pictures and Update

Things don't look so messy in this picture. The only thing you really can notice is that the high chair is much
bigger than Brady.

Happy Boy
This kind of picture never gets old to Daddy...

Sneezing
This was supposed to be a picture of Brady in another outfit (he has so many). But then he sneezed right as the
picture was taken. Ad so we got an even better picture.

Not only are DOTS yummy, but Brady has discovered that he likes the taste of his fingers and thumb as well.

Brady trying to look cool as a supported sitter and in a onesie.
Brady was supposed to have the ultrasound on his back today but there was another screw up and
the medical center couldn't do the procedure that the doctor had prescribed. It needs to be done at the hospital
so we are waiting for a referral. ::sigh::
Brady started day care this week. He is just going for a few hours a day to get used to it.
He is up to 14 lb 8.5 oz as of last night. So he continues to grow but his pace has slowed down a little bit.
I guess it had to, he was packing on the pounds at an impressive rate.
October 7 Pictures and Update

Brady continues to grow like a weed. Well, at least length wise he does. You can see that he is really starting
to fill up his stroller. We will probably have to take the added pillow piece out very soon. He is getting marginal
on 3-6 month clothes due to how long he is getting in the torso.

Fart Factory
This factory runs 24/7.
Brady turned 5 months old on Sunday. We weighed him before his bath. He gained 1
ounce last week so he is 15 lb 2 oz. He continues to get longer though and is 26 inches long. He had the
ultrasound on his back today. We still need to wait for the official results but the preliminary ones were very good.
The technician doctor did not spot any sacral defects. So we are hoping that Brady will have a clean bill of health
there. It was proposed that his spine is slightly closer to the skin than normal and Brady lacks body fat since he was
so skinny when he was born. So it makes a small problem look like a possible bigger problem. Mike and Cathy are
feeling very much relieved this evening. We still need to figure out what the deal is with the pinky joints but at least
it appears that is an isolated problem and not related to anything bigger.
October 18 Pictures and Update

Mike picked up some Redskins themed outfits when he was in DC.

Brady isn't a big fan of rice cereal but he sure likes first foods. He ate the entire cup of sweet potatoes.
OK, well he emptied the package. A lot ended up on his face and bib. I don't know what the deal is with the little
spot of orange above his left eye. I will say that we cleaned him after the meal but still wiped more stuff off his
face and hands when we wiped him down before bedtime.

Sundae is getting old and isn't able to clean her tail as much as she used to. So Brady is very considerate and
is helping her lick the dirt off her tail.

No Candy
Here we are just a few weeks away from Halloween and Brady still doesn't care for candy yet. He is not a fan of
orange Spree.

Mexican Standoff
The Mexican Standoff, a staple of spaghetti westerns and cheesy action flicks, rears its ugly head on the chair.
Brady has stopped sleeping through the night. Remember how he gained 1 oz for the week ending
October 6. Well he gained 15 ounces the following week and is still eating like there won't be anything available tomorrow.
So he likes to sneak in another feeding in the middle of the night.
October 24 Pictures and Update

Brady showing some corporate spirit.

Dino Roar
Brady's feet say ROAR on them.

Caterspeller
Finally a toy that is bigger than Brady.
Brady had another slow weight gain week. As of 10/22, he was around 16 lb 4 oz. But he
continues to grow. He is about 26.5 inches long. No milestones like sitting up yet but he does make raspberry
sounds an awful lot of the time now.
October 26 Pictures and Update

Brady can't walk yet so he can't say that his dogs are barkin'. But his dogs are awfully cute.

New Hokies Outfit
The team is pretty lousy this year but Brady is now fitting his 6 months Hokies outfit. And he may grow out of
it before the bowl game. Well, that assumes that the Hokies can win a couple more games and make it to a bowl game...
Sunday night bath night and Brady weighs in at 16 lb 10 oz (although just after a 3-4 oz feeding).
He hit another milestone this weekend when he rolled from his back onto his stomach. So now he can roll both ways.
He's still battling his cold and didn't have much of an appetite today.
